Pictures in Color vs. Black and White

During this class we viewed a number of pictures in different color contrasts. We then dissected how color changes the perception of a picture. The picture that stood out most to me was the one with a soldier who had a doll on his back. The black and white one seemed bleak, as if the soldier was in danger. However, the color picture seemed hopeful and almost comical.
